Thus saith the Lord

In Isaiah, chapter forty-three, verses one through seven, highlight some parts of scripture for this theme. In verse one, “But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him, from verse seven.”
In this section, God expresses His love for Israel and the benefits of that love. All the blessings mentioned here apply even more to those who are the children of God through faith in Christ. God has created and redeemed us; we belong to Him, and He knows each of us by name, as in verse one. When believers pass through trouble and affliction, we will not be destroyed for He is with us, as in verses two and five. Saints of God are precious and honored in His sight, objects of His love, as in verse four.
God’s favour and generosity to His people speak abundant comfort to all believers. The new creature, wherever it is, is of God’s forming. All who are redeemed with the blood of His Son, He has set apart for Himself. Those who have God need not fear who or what can be against them. What are Egypt and Ethiopia, all their lives and treasures, compared with the blood of Christ? True believers are precious in God’s sight, and His delight is in them, above any people. Though they went through hardship while they had God with them, they need fear no evil; they should be born up, and brought out. The faithful are encouraged. They were to congregate themself together.
