Depart touch no unclean thing

In Isaiah, chapter fifty-two, verse eleven, “Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.” The exodus from Babylon, like the exodus from Egypt, pictured deliverance from the world and all that is unclean. The redeemed people were specifically instructed to purify themselves from all uncleanness. Likewise, when individuals accept Christ as Lord and Saviour, they must separate themselves from the world and purify themselves from all evil.
Babylon is no place for Israelites. And it is a call to all in the bondage of sin and Satan, to use the liberty Christ has proclaimed. They were to go with diligent haste, not to lose time nor linger, but they were not to go with distrustful haste. Those in the way of duty are under God’s special protection, and he that believes this will not hasten for fear.
There is a song called Purify My Heart which can also serve as a prayer.

Purify my heart
Purify my heart,  Oh Lord
Purify my heart so I can worship you.

Purify my heart
Purify my heart, Oh Lord
Purify my heart so I can worship you

I worship you
Lord, I worship you
The reason I live is to worship you

I worship you
Lord, I worship you
The reason I live is to worship you

Purify my heart
Purify my heart, Lord
Purify my heart so I can worship you.

Purify my heart
Purify my heart,  Oh Lord
Purify my heart so I can worship you.

Purify my heart
Purify my heart,  Oh Lord
Purify my heart so I can worship you.

So purify, purify
Purify my heart so I worship you
Purify my heart so I worship you.
