In Isaiah, chapter sixty-five, verse nine, ” And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.” Although God would judge Israel as in verses six through seven of the same theme chapter, He would also save a remnant of true believers who would return to the land to carry on His redemptive mission in the world. They would experience His joy and blessing, as in verses thirteen to sixteen.
A “remnant” is a leftover part. In this case, there will eventually be a set of people who will carry out God’s mission. Everyone born into this world begins life somewhere in society. However, we grow and learn about life, the culture, and the lifestyle we adapt and live. Then, as we grow older and mature, most of us come to know the difference between good and evil, the godly and ungodly.
Then, there comes a point in our lives that choices are made based on what we experience and come to know, either to pursue earthly desires and the things of the world or to know God and follow His lead. At some point, all of us will hear the gospel of Jesus Christ through people who are similar to us or not. Either we accept it or reject it. However, many of us will look at it as religion and leave it at that, and live how we see fit. On the other hand, some will hear the message through an outlet, a person, and the word will come to them at a moment when they need it most.
The message will come through God’s true servants as though the Lord is sending the message through them to let them know that He knows where they are and what He can do to help if they only listen to Him and follow His lead.
