Ye that follow after rightousness

In Isaiah, chapter fifty-one, verses one to three, highlighting some verses, “Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. For the LORD shall comfort Zion: joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.”
God encourages the faithful remnant who seek Him and His righteousness, as in Matthew five, verse six, to have full confidence that He will one day establish His kingdom on earth; this promise is repeated in the New Testament, as in Revelation eleven, verse fifteen, and chapter nineteen, verse twenty-two, respectively. Although sin and Satan now have much of the world under their control, as in John twelve, verse thirty-one, and Ephesians two, verse three, the Lord will return to destroy evil and establish His kingdom on earth.
It is good for those privileged by the new birth to consider that they were shaped in sin. This should cause low thoughts of ourselves, and high thoughts of Divine grace. It is the greatest comfort to be made serviceable to the glory of God. The more holiness people have, and the more good they do, the more gladness they have. Let us seriously reflect upon our guilt. To do so will tend to keep the heart humble, and the conscience awake and tender. They make Christ more precious to the soul and give strength to our attempts and prayers for others.
The Lord will deliver His people, especially those who follow after righteousness. For someone to overcome the understanding that their lives were born in sin and pursue to live in righteousness and draw close to the Lord will be delivered as they continue to depend upon Him daily.
