He shall smite

In Isaiah, chapter eleven, verse four, “But with righteousness shall He judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and He shall smite the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips shall He slay the wicked.” This verse refers to Christ’s return to earth in judgment and His destruction of all the wicked, as in Second Thessalonians one, verses six through ten, chapter two, verse eight, and Revelation nineteen, respectively. This return in just retribution is necessary to establish His perfect and righteous rule.
Although God will begin to pay back the wicked at the beginning of the tribulation, complete retribution will occur only at the end of the age when the Lord Jesus returns to earth in final judgment. At the final revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, not only will full justice occur on the earth as the wicked are appropriately judged, but also Christ’s faithful followers will be fully, openly, and eternally vindicated. The passage speaks of the revelation of Jesus Christ when He comes from heaven in power and great glory to destroy the present world system, to be glorified in His saints, and to inaugurate His thousand-year reign on earth.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, as in Psalms forty-six, verse one. God takes care of His people even when they are unaware that their enemies attempts to conspire against them. David had this experience with Saul. The former king was stalking him and tried to destroy him. Despite that behaviour from Saul, David still had respect for him, and look what eventually happened to Saul in the end. That is the worst thing a person can do against someone who serves God faithfully.
