In Song of Solomon, chapter eight, verse nine, “If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.” If the little sister is a wall resisting temptation, the daughters of Jerusalem will adorn her, which prepares her for marriage. If she is a door ready to succumb to temptation, they will do whatever is needed to protect her from such defilement.
Today, the enemy is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, as in First Peter five, verse eight. Many parents, especially godly ones, try to do their very best to raise their kids to become future parents in having a family through hopefully getting married at some point in life. However, with technology increasingly more sophisticated with social media, children are becoming more advanced and learning at a higher rate than ever before, making it more difficult for parents to grow their kids at their own pace, and not the world’s. Still, some kids encounter adult-like situations quickly succumbing to mature-like experiences, derailing them from getting that chance to experience the proper way of enjoying marriage as God intended.
However, there are still many kids on track to obtain marriage toward future family building with parental guidance, and others relying on God to carry their children through life challenges to eventually walk them down that aisle to give in marriage in holy matrimony.
Therefore, First Corinthians ten, verse thirteen, declares, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
