Trust in the Lord

In Psalms, chapter three, verse five, trusting in the Lord with all our heart is the opposite of doubting God and His Word. Such trust is fundamental to our relationship with God based on the premise that He is trustworthy. As God’s children, the assurance that our heavenly Father loves and faithfully cares for us, guides us rightly, gives us grace, and keeps His promises in the most difficult times in our lives. As believers, we can commit our way to the Lord, as in Psalms thirty-seven, verse five, and trust Him to work on our behalf.
Jesus teaches that God’s faithful children are of great worth to their heavenly Father. God values you and your personal needs. He desires your love and fellowship so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for you. You are never away from His presence, care, and concern. He knows all your needs, trials, and sorrows.
You are so important to God that He treasures your faithfulness, love, and loyalty above all earthly things. Your unwavering faith in Christ proved genuine amidst trials.
Our understanding is limited, fallible, and subject to error. Therefore, we must be enlightened by God’s Word and Spirit, as in Romans eight, verses nine through sixteen. To lean on our understanding rather than trust God according to His Word and Spirit magnifies the human mind while it diminishes the human spirit. Dependence on human reason rather than trusting God leads to pride and spiritual leanness. Rather than being wise in our own eyes, we should demonstrate our trust in God by asking Him continually for wisdom and knowledge of His will in all spheres of our life.
Remember, studying God’s Word must be accompanied by prayer that earnestly seeks wisdom and discernment. Believers will trust in God.
