The Lord shall preserve

In Psalms, chapter one hundred twenty-one, verse eight, the theme verse applies to our Christian lives from spiritual birth until we leave this earth and to our physical lives as we go out in the morning to work and come home to rest: God will preserve us; He is our constant guard. However, some believers go out at different times throughout the day for significant reasons, and verse seven before the theme from Psalms one twenty-one complements the purpose. “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

The theme under the Help from the Lord section expresses guidance to His people as they travel near or distant, well-known or unknown areas. God knows the heart of everyone He has created, with those who have good intentions to bless and do well each day for others and the people that surround them. However, there are some people, such as unbelievers and those who are ungodly, who have bad intentions, who plan to do wrong or evil to satisfy their souls, who have a spirit within them working that comes from the evil one. Therefore, saints of God should faithfully ask the Lord to protect them from harm and danger before they leave their homes and are about to go out and commute. Believers must be careful and not careless because we all live in perilous times.

“Heavenly Father, I ask for your divine protection over me and my family today as we go out into the community, that you will surround me with your presence, in Jesus’ name. Amen.” A simple prayer to a Mighty God. That is not to say we will not encounter problems or trouble throughout our day, but that the Lord will be in our midst.
