In Second Chronicles, chapter seven, verse fourteen, when God’s four conditions reach achievement from the first part of this theme verse, the fulfillment of God’s threefold promise of revival will come. God will turn away His anger from His people, listen to their desperate cries, and be attentive to their prayers, as in verse fifteen. In other words, the first evidence of revival is that God begins to hear, answer prayer from heaven, and show compassion for His people, as in Psalms eighty-five, verses four through seven, chapter one-hundred and two, verse one to two, and verse thirteen, Jeremiah thirty-three, verse three, Joel two, verses twelve through thirteen, verses eighteen to nineteen, respectively.
God will forgive His people, cleanse them from their sins, and restore His favor, presence, peace, truth, righteousness, and power among them, as in Psalms eighty-five, verses nine through thirteen, Jeremiah thirty-three, verses seven through eight, Hosea ten, verse twelve, Joel two, verse twenty-five, and Second Corinthians six, verses fourteen through eighteen, accordingly.
God will heal His people and their land by again pouring out rain, such as physical favor and blessing. The Holy Spirit with the spiritual awakening among the covenant people and amid the spiritually lost, as in Psalms fifty-one, verses twelve through thirteen, Hosea five, verse fourteen to chapter six, verses three, verse eleven, and Joel two, verses twenty-eight through thirty-two, respectively.
The conditions that God gives is entirely up to us as believers. He will not force anyone to do anything. God honors His Word above his name. Remember, He is a Spirit being. Yet, if people value His Word, they will benefit from it. Children of God are a Word away from changing whatever situation they face.
God is waiting for believers to walk by faith and not by sight. It is easy said then done.
