The righteous shall rejoice

In Psalms, chapter fifty-eight, verse ten, the verse expresses the joy and satisfaction that God’s people experience when evil is defeated and overthrown. Likewise, the New Testament believers must desire and pray for the ultimate removal of all evil and the establishment of God’s kingdom in the new heaven and earth, as in Psalms eleven, verses fifteen through seventeen, Psalms eighteen, verse twenty, Psalms nineteen, verses one to four, and thirteen through eighteen, Psalms twenty-one, verses one to seven, respectively.

The theme verse under The Punishment of the Wicked expresses the happiness and celebration of receiving victory over those whose spirit control them to do evil. In Exodus fifteen, verses one through eleven under The Song of Moses section illustrate Moses and the children of Israel singing, particularly verse one. “Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

Today, there are a few versions of the song, but here is one of the versions:

I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously,

the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously,

the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

The Lord my God, my strength, my shield

is now become my victory.

The Lord is God, and I will praise Him

My Father is God, and I will exalt him

The Lord is God, and I will praise Him

My Father is God, and I will exalt him.

The verse continues from verse three, with the Lord being a man of war, and continues to express what happened to Pharoah and his men when they attempted to contest against God, which ended in ruin.
