The people shall be oppressed

In Isaiah, chapter three, verse five, “And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: The child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.” The rejection of God’s ways in a society opens the way for injustice, cruel oppression, violence, the disrespect for parents by rebellious youth, and the throwing off of all moral restraint. Today, some teach that a lack of self-love is the root of destructive behaviour and personality disorders. Apostolic revelation teaches that the problem of sin lies in our self-centeredness.
Believers must be prepared to face an overwhelming deluge of ungodliness as history approaches at the end of the age. “There will be despisers of those that are good.” The apostle prophesies that Satan will bring great destruction to the family. Children will be disobedient to parents, and natural family affection will decline. There will be more Mothers rejecting their kids, and fathers abandoning their families, or children who neglect to care for their aging parents.
Men and women will become lovers of money and pleasure, and will pursue their own selfish desires. Many will consider parenthood, with its demands for sacrificial love and nurture, as an unworthy and undignified task. Loving parents will be replaced more and more by those who are selfish, brutal, and who abandon their children.
If Christian parents are to save their families in difficult times of the last days, they must shield them against the corrupt values of the society in which they live. Seperate them from the world’s ways and refuse to let ungodly influences mold their children. The parents must accept God’s plan for their family. Many Christians profess and appear religious but do not manifest God’s power in their life actively working.
