In Psalms, chapter fourteen, verses one through seven, the “fool” is a person who lives as if there is no God. Fools reveal their rebellion against God in two ways. They reject God’s revelation, for they do not believe what the Bible says about God. They scorn the moral principles of God’s word and rely on their ideas to determine right and wrong, as in moral relativism in verses one to three of this chapter. They do not seek God, submit to God’s Word, pray to God, or trust Him concerning their daily lives.
This psalm describes the iniquity of the wicked and teaches that the human race is, by nature, separated from God, as in Ephesians two, verses two through three. The carnal condition of unbelievers indicates where all humans came from since birth, as in Romans three, verse twenty-three declares, ” For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Verses ten through twelve, from Romans three, under The world: Guilty before God section, express similarities to the first three verses of this theme chapter, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
None understandeth, none seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, and they together become unprofitable; none doeth good, no, not one.”
Today, many people live life as though they have made themselves. Most of the ones who have reached success make themselves as a god. Some people have already displayed to the public that they are god or indicated that god is here with signs saying, “The Messiah is here,” and yet we would wonder, what are you doing here in the flesh? However, believers know God is a spirit, and they must worship Him in Spirit and in truth, which is His holy Word.
No one should dare claim to be a god or even think it. Pharaoh was a fool to at least think so, going against the living God by how he was determined to overthrow the will of God by not submitting to the request of Moses and Aaron. In Exodus seven to chapter fifteen, verse four will show how Pharaoh and his purpose of thinking as a god ends as the only one standing with no one to be a god towards. This example shows there is only one God, and He is not flesh but Spirit.
