In Ecclesiastes, chapter seven, verse twenty through twenty-two, beginning with “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. The theme verse does not contradict God’s statement about Job’s blamelessness, as in Job one, verse eight, and Job two, verse three; Rather, it states the truth that “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” as in Romans three, verse twenty-three.
The following verses ten through eighteen, from Romans three, describe human nature on earth. “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they have become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips.”
“Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
All of us were born into sin. Although, as children, we were innocent, we will eventually succumb to doing sinful things at different levels. However, the environment we come to know as we grow will determine the severity of the sinful nature we will encounter. Still, if parents are godly and read God’s Word, serve Him in spirit and in truth, and are obedient to the Word of God, it will help the young kids grow, but that does not always mean that the kid will grow up to be a saint of God, because every child growing up will face situations that they will have to decide for themselves.
