Separated themselves and confessed their sins

In Nehemiah, chapter nine, verse two, the actions in this chapter show that the people’s repentance was deep and sustained. They continued to seek God by fasting, humbling themselves before Him, confessing their spiritual poverty, and separating themselves from that which offended Him, as in verses one through three.

The word will direct and quicken prayer, for the Spirit helps our infirmities in prayer. The careful study of God’s word will more and more discover our sinfulness and the plenteousness of his salvation. Therefore, it calls us to mourn for sin and to rejoice in him. Every discovery of the truth of God should render us more unwearied in attendance on his sacred word and his worship.

They confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers: not only did they read in their recent sufferings a punishment of the national apostasy and guilt, but they had made themselves partakers of their fathers’ sins by following the same evil ways.

In the Gospel of John eight, verse thirty-two, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” First of all, daily repentance is essential for all believers. No matter what position in God we are in or claim to be in, we must repent and ask Him for forgiveness for any unknowing sin and the ones we know that we may have encountered without our realization. The other important thing to note is the iniquities of our foreparents, which is our past generations dating back to Adam.

Many of us do not know how they lived or what they did back then. Either if they served God or did ungodly things. Some of the people of God may be affected by their past generation and by not understanding certain things that may have impacted negatively within their lives. A prime example is a person with the potential to do anything. However, the trouble with it is coming to fruition. Therefore, most likely, a monitoring spirit in the past hinders the present.

When a person’s life comes to an end, especially an unbeliever, those evil spirits look for a body to enter. How do they make their entrance? The evil spirits come through the eyes, ears, and what we confess with our mouths into our hearts to corrupt it. That is how they get into the body.

In Matthew twenty-eight, verses twenty-eight through thirty-three, under the devils cast out section, is the proof that devils need a body to corrupt. Otherwise, they cannot affect the life of anyone. “And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters. And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.”

Those possessed of devils and who follow that way of life will own them. They will undergo problems in life but likely will not have issues such as believers. The people of God who do not allow the enemy to possess their life and strive for God, the devil, and evil spirits will hinder them. Especially through bad decision-making by saying, doing, or choosing to do ungodly things which will confuse those who attempt to live for God which is monitoring spirits

People who do not read God’s Word which is a guide, and pray which builds a relationship with God, will not be able to overcome the powers of darkness. The light of God shines bright but will be dim on those who do not do the godly things that are essential to cast out devils as Jesus did in Matthew eight, verses twenty-eight through thirty-two. This explains more clearly the Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The enemy monitors them because all is well and serving God and follow instructions until the enemy finds a way to cause them to sin.

Adam and Eve caused all to fall and be born into sin. Now, to get back in favor with God is to accept Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and fight the good fight of faith to get back on the right side of experiencing life as Adam and Eve had it before the fall. However, the enemy will still monitor to strike again to bring people back into sin to possess them and will hinder those until he gets them. “We must bind in the name of Jesus Christ! The blood of Jesus Christ is against you! We cast you out with the fire of the Holy Spirit! We can only do this if we are saved and living according to His Word. Only through the Salvation of Jesus in John three, verse sixteen, and ask God to cover us under His precious blood to overthrow those evil spirits.
