Save Now

In Psalms, chapter hundred and eighteen, verse twenty-five, the phrase “Hosanna” in the Greek translation of the Old Testament prophesies salvation through Christ’s sacrifice, as in verses twenty-six through twenty-seven, and sung by the crowds during Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, as in Matthew twenty-one, verse nine. “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”

The theme verse under the Lord’s Mercy section, “Save Now,” is at the very beginning. When people are in trouble, they immediately need answers or a solution. Save means to rescue, guard, protect, deliver, free, or recover. The theme verse, “Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.” It is a person desperately hoping to resolve the matter for their well-being.

In Matthew twenty-one, verse nine is under The Triumphal Entry section, showing verses ten through eleven, “And when he came into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said: This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.” The Son of God is also known as “Savior” for those who accept Him by salvation. The people received an introduction to the Holy One and saw someone different from the rest because He came from God and sent to “Save Now.”

Believers who accept the Lord and live according to God’s Word will still encounter situations that the physical, mental, emotional, and educated are not able to resolve. Only the Almighty God can save, deliver, and destroy through His Son Jesus Christ. Those who are “Saved Now” can overcome through obedience to God’s Word and the Holy Spirit in whatever the devil attempts to do. God “Saves Now.”
