Perfect peace mind is stayed

In Isaiah, chapter twenty-six, verse three, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” As the trying and stressful days of the end of history occur, God will keep in perfect peace the remnant who remain steadfast and faithful to their Lord. In times of trouble, we must continually strive to keep our minds turned to the Lord in prayer, trust, and hope. We must place our trust in Him because He is a rock who endures forever, as in verse four; He is a sure and firm foundation.
Daniel is a man who represents the theme verse of “keeping himself in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed” on the living God. He did not change the way he served God, even when a decree concerns a petition or prayer to God. “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime,” as in Daniel six, verse ten. “Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God,” as in verse eleven.
Daniel did not shy away from continuing what he has always been doing from the beginning. He did not let this law made by King Darius bother him at all. Although this prayer by Daniel continued to lead him into the den of lions as punishment for breaking the law, as in Daniel six, verse sixteen, he yet remained in perfect peace with God. For believers, there will be times of testing that we must all persevere. How better to overcome these matters the way how Daniel handles it.
