Out of the depths have I cried unto thee

In Psalms, chapter one hundred and thirty, verse one, those who reap the misery and torment of their sins cry out to God with the assurance that God will forgive, heal, and bring them back into fellowship with Himself. God desires to show mercy to all in trouble, saving them from the slavery of sin so they might know His love, care, and goodness.
Forgiveness is necessary because we all have sinned, transgressions that have alienated us from God and made us subject to condemnation and His wrath. Forgiveness made possible by Jesus’ death on the cross means God’s relationship with His creation can come again through salvation and devotion.
People cry out to God because they need deliverance from whatever troubles they face and peace from God, as in Philippians four, verse seven. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Forgiveness from God is to cover, pardon, cancel, or send away. God’s forgiveness involves making of no account the sin committed, saving sinners from eternal punishment, accepting them, delivering them from the dominion of sin, transferring them into Christ’s kingdom, renewing the whole person, and promising eternal life. In receiving forgiveness, there must be repentance, faith, and confession of sin.
Divine forgiveness is an ongoing need for believers so they might maintain their saving relationship with God, as in Matthew six, verses twelve, fourteen through fifteen, and First John one, verse nine, respectively. Today, people cry out from their inner being because they have tried every way possible to overcome the obstacles and challenges they face or experience. These individuals realize the solutions they attempted in the past did not work and search for a way to overcome them. The redeemed can testify that only God can deliver.
