TO DO OR NOT TO DO, THAT IS THE QUESTION
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
2 Corinthians 10:6
Obedience is the opposite of disobedience
Here is the real difference
Good versus Bad
Up versus Down
In versus Out
Happy versus Sad
Glad versus Mad
Large versus Small
Huge vs Tiny
Open versus Close
Go versus Stop
Bless versus Curse
Accepted versus Rejected
Lead versus Lag
There is so many more examples but the ones above are obvious
The pictures of the dog are just an example of how we could be in our lives. Either we do something about it or sit on it. Maybe some of us experience setbacks, hardship, disappointment, and find ourselves not getting anywhere.
In the past, we did not obey our guardians or they did not lead us on the right path according to the ‘Good Book’. However, there is still an opportunity where God could help if we are willing to try.
Inner
We have heard many times from our family members the good things we should do to help ourselves but failed to listen. We know the people that love us, look out for our best interests, and see our potential. However, due to our ignorance, we neglected the advice that probably would catapult us in a better position today. We have to forgive ourselves and move on. It is a part of our history and let us build a new chapter. We are unique, still alive, and have a chance even though the environment is now different.
Outer
Some people may know us outside our homes and see us where we are now. They may say good things or bad things. Maybe give us the “I told you speech if you would only listen maybe blah, blah, blah.” To respond to that now is useless. It will only set us back and not move us forward. Probably put us in the place of the dog above on the right doing nothing about it. If we encounter people that know us and comment, just say things are okay or better because that is your intention. To make things better.
Fact
The verse above is about correcting the mistakes of not listening to our guardians, parents, teachers, and leaders that gave us advice during our lives and not following. Those who do care about us in the past we know but did not focus enough to listen and obey. To improve the result of past disobedience is to obey now. Keep saying and working on it and things will eventually fall into place. Let go and let God help you make the difference in your life today.
