My help cometh from the Lord

In Psalms, chapter one hundred and twenty-one, verse two, the family, friends, or wealth must never be our ultimate source of aid in this life. That belongs to God, the only source for meeting our needs physically and spiritually. We must trust in Him with all our hearts and seek Him for grace “to help in time of need.” Hebrews four, verse sixteen, declares, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” For believers, Christ sympathizes with our weaknesses, and we can confidently approach the heavenly throne, knowing that our prayers and petitions are welcomed and desired by our heavenly Father. Where saints of God regularly pray is called the “throne of grace” because from it can flow God’s love, support, mercy, forgiveness, wisdom, spiritual power, spiritual gifts, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and all that we need in any circumstances.

The theme verse under the Help from the Lord section depicts believers looking to God to provide the way in times of difficulty. One of the great blessings of salvation is that Christ is now our high priest, our mediator, who opens the way for us to come to the Father confidently for all the areas of need in our lives. No one in life anticipates problems coming their way, and those who call upon God, especially daily, will receive an answer from Him. The Lord wants to guide and provide for those who cannot do it themselves. Therefore, believers should be in contact frequently and throughout their day privately. Not only for needs but thanking Him and praying on behalf of family, friends, neighbors, and those we meet for God to save and connect with them while waiting for His response.
