What to do if you have someone purposely copying you?
Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him? Job 13:9
What is the difference between an imitator and a mocker? They both are similar and there is not much difference. However, the dissimilarity is that one person admires and the other does not.
How would you deal with someone that attempts to get under you skin? There is always someone that may not like you for no reason and they decide to express it in a mocking fashion. They do not respect but they want to copy you. That would make anybody uncomfortable.
Jesus had to endure a situation:
And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
Throughout that situation with Jesus, He chose not to respond. Even though He could have done something or even defend Himself on His behalf but did not.
Some people could care less. On the other hand, what approach would you take?
Outer perspective:
Neighbor watches the things you do to your house and later he does the same thing. He sees you but does not say anything to you. Meanwhile, the neighbor sees a familiar person in the neighborhood farther from you and greets them. How you handle it?
Inner perspective:
Inside you know you did nothing wrong but the neighbor believes there is. If you say something, it may get ugly. If they nothing, they may continue until someone gives up.
Fact
The question is: why is the person copying you? People that like or get along with others will talk to you. However, the people that do not like you are the ones we must be careful of. We never know what the person is thinking so we must keep that in mind.
