I will give

In Genesis, chapter twenty-four, verse fourteen, Abraham’s servant asks for a sign from God as to which girl God had chosen. Watering camels would be a difficult task. Any young woman who voluntarily agrees to such a chore would demonstrate an inner spirit of submission, helpfulness, and willingness to serve.
These three attributes are the requirements for finding a bride or groom. To submit, help, and be willing takes patience and sincerity to give that kind of effort to someone else. Rebekah, for example, was a maiden and very fair to look upon, a virgin neither had any man known her as described in verse sixteen. This young damsel focused on filling her pitcher as she came down to the well. The first few words Rebekah spoke to Abraham’s servant were, “Drink, my lord.” Her submission, help, and willingness equal her response.
To find a partner such as Abraham’s servant for Isaac is a blessing. A virtuous woman, similar to Proverbs chapter thirty-one. A heart towards her husband, trustworthy, not desiring excessive goods, do good and not evil. Willingly work to provide for her family, willing to sacrifice for them. She is considerate toward others within her environment, conducts herself properly, and is sincere when conversing with others.
The ideal woman and future mother describe the virtuous woman. Like Rebekah, her whole life centers around a reverent fear of God. Compassion for those in need, and faithfulness and love toward her family. All the qualities mentioned will probably not be all in one person. However, each person can seek to serve God, family, and others in ways with the personal ability and material resources that God gives.
Giving to others begins with an I. God is love, and love contributes. To find that virtuous person, are we willing to say, “I will give.” Then follow through with what we said?
