The ungodly family of Cain developed and centered their lives around the secular Arts of business, establishing a way of self-reliance. The godless became the regular lifestyle of people who depend on no one else but themselves. These are the lives of people that typically live for the world to achieve carnal goals. The establishment of their careers, investing in things that have nothing to do with God but feed themselves with pleasures and earthly desires.
However, there are the faithful few who refuse to go the way of Cain. The people who desire to live and please God like Abel, which was Cain’s brother. There will always be some, at times only a few, who will worship God, remain faithful to Him, obey His Word, and wait for His promises. These people will be the minority. Yet, God marks their names.
Today, if we feel alone standing in our faith and responding to His Word, we must remember we are never alone. God still has His thousands throughout the earth who remain faithful to Him and His cause. The people that call upon the Lord and worship and pray to Him. These are people that go about living their lives similar to the family of Cain. However, the difference being is they live, including God, in all things they endeavor to do.
The godly worship God in their giving of themselves and asking God to help do the work and complete their agendas. This approach allows the Lord to intervene on their behalf to achieve the expectations they intend to accomplish. However, there will be some challenges along the way, and no one is exempt from that. Still, God is there to help guide the godly along their pathway knowing that in the time of need, He is right there.
