God shall bring every word into judgment

In Ecclesiastes, chapter twelve, verse fourteen, “For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” As a final word, Solomon reminds us of a solemn and enduring truth: we are fully accountable to God for our deeds. The Lord will evaluate each of us, believer and unbeliever alike.

God will judge all our deeds, whether they are good or evil, as in Romans fourteen, verse ten. “But why dost thou judge thy brother? Or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” Also chapter fourteen, verse twelve, “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” There is also Second Corinthians five, verse ten, and Revelation twenty, verses twelve to thirteen, respectively.

The Lord knows the good, the bad, and the evil. Everything we say and do, He sees right through. Nothing in secret can be hid because God is the omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent One. In Genesis, when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and sinned against God, He asked Adam, ‘Where art thou?” Why would God say that to the creation He created?

God said this to Adam because of the sin that was upon him. God does not associate Himself with sin. Adam’s response to God, “I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Adam’s response made him lie by saying that. God replied, “Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?” Remember, God does not associate with sin. So, He may not even look, although He knew something was carnally wrong with Adam.
