In Psalms, chapter one hundred and twenty-seven, verses one through five, only what is from God and has His blessing is truly valuable in life. On the other hand, if God is not in our lives, activities, goals, and families, then all is vain and will end in frustration and disappointment. Therefore, for all things, we should seek God’s blessing and guidance from the beginning of our lives.
God’s blessing upon the lives of His followers is essential. Concerning God’s mighty hand working, Scripture teaches several things: The Lord’s building is a divine gift causing our work to succeed, as in Deuteronomy twenty-eight, verse twelve, God’s presence with us, as in Genesis twenty-six, verse three, God giving us strength, power, and help, as in Ephesians three, verse sixteen, and Colossians one, verse eleven, and God working in and through us to produce goodness, as in Philippians two, verse thirteen, respectively.
For believers to build, the Lord God must have His presence and blessing upon it. In First Kings eight, verses seventeen through nineteen, David desired to build a house for the Lord. However, the servant of God received a message from Him that Solomon, his son, shall make it. “Nevertheless, thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name,” as in verse nineteen. Even though David’s intentions were good, God had the final say, and he honored it.
Today, with the believers who have good intentions from the heart, the Lord knows that, eventually, what will corrupt the person overall is if he allows certain things. Each saint serving God should ask Him first, as in Hebrews eleven, verse ten, “For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”
