Every day will I bless thee

In Psalms hundred and forty-five, verse two, no day should pass without praising and thanking God for His blessings and gifts to us. He is our Maker, Redeemer, and Provider, as in Psalms thirty-four, verse one. “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” It is so easy to say, but remembering to do in this world we live in today is the challenge. Many things may distract our attention from honoring God daily with praise.

The theme verse is under The Goodness of the Lord section, where believers should bless the Lord’s name daily. However, not many saints or servants of God remember to honor Him. Why? Several reasons begin with God forgiving, healing, delivering, redeeming, satisfying, righteous and just, merciful and gracious. He is slow to anger and abounding in love, and He gave Himself to save our souls!

All these qualities God gave through His Son, Jesus Christ, to save humanity are enough to praise and bless His name. Yet, what causes most of God’s people not to remember to praise Him? Their affection for things in the world. “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth,” as in Colossians three, verse two. However, the godly who allows the inner person to lead will be able to focus on the heavenly things.

Many Christians can behave similarly to a child with their parents. Today, it is easy for kids to forget what their mom and dad have given them so far, yet their focus is on the next thing they have in mind. That is how some of God’s children conduct themselves today. The Lord delivers us out of something, and many of God’s people forget to praise and bless His name daily with thanksgiving.
