Do it with thy might

In Ecclesiastes, chapter nine, verse ten, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” Whatever work we do, we should undertake it with all our hearts, as working for the Lord, as in Colossians three, verse twenty-three, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”

The theme verse from the “Make the best of this life” section suggests that believers should utilize their talents and abilities for God and help others. Remember, God is love, and He shared all that He had by even creating man in His own image and gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us from what man did wrong in His sight. Therefore, as believers, we should, with all our might, give back. However, saints of God should pray and ask how to go about achieving this deed, because there will be many who may not show gratitude or appreciation as we expect. God did His best for His people, and look what they did, as in Isaiah one, verse four, “Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.”

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose,” as in Romans eight, verse twenty-eight. Believers who love God will depend upon Him, as they do with all their might, because God’s Spirit will be present as well. The songwriter said, “It’s not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, said the Lord.”
