In Proverbs, chapter thirteen, verse twenty-three, “judgment” may also be rendered “justice.” Some people are poor and remain so because they are victims of injustice in society. The theme verse, “Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.” There are opportunities for those who lack necessities. Still, the facilities and supplies in these areas where poor people reside are available. However, those in power who run these programs fail to dedicate themselves to performing these non-profit activities. Those who are poor and serve God depend upon Him to lead and direct them, as in Psalms thirty-five, verse ten, “All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?” Anybody who is born does not know how their life will be as they live it. All live and learn. And in most cases, the people do not know how to improve or have the resources to better themselves.
At the beginning of Hosea four, verse six, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Many people who experience being poor are also victims of those who are not. The people, with their knowledge, use it against those who do not know and take advantage of them, especially when it involves finances. Psalms thirty-five, verse eleven, is what some people experience with the knowledgeable ones: “False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.”
All those who face difficult circumstances financially should remember Psalms thirty-seven, verse twenty-five, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. God will deliver.
