Deliver me O Lord from the evil man

In Psalms, chapter one hundred and forty, verses one through thirteen, believers should ask God to deliver not only from evil people but also from the evil one: Satan. As our greatest enemy, he seeks to snare and destroy us. All believers are the objects of Satan’s enmity and sinful purpose. For this reason, we must never forget to pray for deliverance from His power and schemes.
The evil man or persons who live in the carnal world are controlled by the evil one. Satan’s kingdom is a highly systemized empire of evil that has authority over the kingdom of the air in verse two of Ephesians two, fallen angels in Matthew twenty-five, verse forty-one. Satan is not omnipresent, omnipotent, or omniscient. Therefore, most of Satan’s activities are from demons. Satan presently wars against God and His people, seeking to draw them away from the loyalty of Christ and into sin and bondage to this present world system. Believers must pray constantly for deliverance from Satan, as in Matthew six, verse thirteen, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.” Saints of God must be alert concerning his schemes and temptations, as in verse eleven of Ephesians six, and resist him through spiritual warfare while remaining firm in the faith. Deliverance from evil people is significant for believers to overcome. Otherwise, how can the fulfillment of God’s plan for our lives manifest if believers allow the devil and his demons to invade freely? Believers must fight spiritually against that evil force and declare this to the Lord. “Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; who imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.”
