In Psalms, chapter nineteen, verse twelve, sincere believers endeavor to love God and serve with all their hearts, as in Deuteronomy six, verse five. However, they are still imperfect and may fall short of God’s will without knowing it. Therefore, believers must seek God’s forgiveness for their errors and hidden faults, as in Leviticus five, verses two through four. On the other hand, presumptuous or willful sins are the great transgression, as in the following verse, that despising God and His Word and the loss of a place in His kingdom, as in Numbers fifteen, verses thirty-to thirty-one, and Galatians five, verses nineteen to twenty-one.
Love the Lord thy God was the theme verse in November the twenty-third, two thousand and twenty-two. God seeks fellowship with His people and gives them one indispensable command that will attach them to Himself. By responding in love, gratitude, and loyalty to Him for His love, they will come to know and enjoy Him in a covenant relationship. However, the theme today for those who have a deeper relationship with God now will be asking daily for forgiveness because believers never know if they have done something unknowingly wrong to hurt another. Therefore, during our devotion to the Father, we should ask Him to cleanse ourselves from secret faults unseen by the public eye.
Unforgiveness is one of the things that will stop people from entering the kingdom of God. Believers cannot have anything in their hearts against anyone because that is harboring a grudge against somebody. How do we know if we do or not? Let’s say a disagreement with someone such as a friend, relative, neighbor, or even a stranger occurred in the past, and you saw them in your midst. How would you react? Do you think you would act normal?
