What is the Bible? The Bible is an informational and inspirational collection of books that consist of sixty-six different titles divided into two parts. The first portion is the Old Testament that comprises thirty-nine books with three titles accompanying a first and second. The section begins with the book of Genesis through to the final one entitled Malachi. This section’s sources are from the Books of the prophets, the Law, and the Psalms. The second portion is the New Testament that includes the Four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the early book letters written to different gatherings of people, and the book of Revelation. This area of the Bible starts with the Gospel of Matthew, followed by Mark, Luke, and John, respectively. However, the first four books also carry an affix to each of these books as Saint. Some Bibles will have in the New Testament with the titles Saint Matthew, Saint Mark, Saint Luke, and Saint John in abbreviation format. The Book of Acts follows through to the final book of Revelation to complete the twenty-seven books for this New Testament.
The initial reader will probably not understand the Bible after their first encounter. The Bible is a book that a reader can start from the back and visually follow to the front will be a little easier. A book with the answers in the second portion of it. The reader will find a series of arguably true stories of the past that historically took place with scientific evidence presently situated in different parts of the world today. Even though a reader may not automatically comprehend, the Bible is a book that understands us. The Bible is about Jesus Christ. The unique experience for the reader of this book is if they lose their way around it and refocus on knowing Him, it will eventually become more revealing to the diligent reader. Similar to a person reading another individual’s letter. At first, we initially misunderstand, skimming through the message they are trying to explain. However, since we have an interest, we come to an understanding of what is said.
The Bible overall is discovering Jesus from start to finish. The Old Testament predicts Him, the four gospels reveal about Him. The Acts of the Apostles preach about Jesus, the letter of the Epistles explain Him, and finally, in the book of Revelation, He is expected. It tells all.
