The way of holiness

In Isaiah, chapter thirty-five, verses eight through ten, “And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
Whenever the Spirit is poured out from on high, as in chapter thirty-two, verse fifteen, resulting in a powerful revelation of God’s glory and excellency, as in verse two, the way of holiness will become clear; all the redeemed will then walk in transparent holiness and spiritual safety, as in verses nine to ten.
The way of holiness is the title of this theme, and God is holy. There is a chorus of a song that relates to the very beginning of verse eight concerning a highway.
It is a highway to heaven,
None can walk up there,
But the pure in heart.
It is a highway to heaven,
I’m walking on the king’s highway.
For believers, we all know there is a saying that holiness is next to godliness, and that is very true. God does not tolerate sin nor is associated with darkness. There is another song that is well known from verse ten of this theme.
Therefore, the redeemed of the Lord shall return,
and come with singing unto Zion,
An everlasting joy shall be upon their heads.
They shall obtain gladness and joy,
And sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
