The earth also is defiled

In Isaiah, chapter twenty-four, verse five, “The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” God’s wrath will come upon the world because humankind has defiled the earth with sin, immorality, and wickedness. At this present time, sin predominates, but at the end time God ordains a dreadful and inescapable doom to come upon all who take pleasure in unrighteousness.
Delighting in wickedness while refusing to love the truth will be the deciding factor in God’s judgment in the last days. Those destined to experience God’s wrath will be those who did not love the truth and therefore participated in, and entertained themselves with, evil and immorality. They will be given over by God to judgment that includes demonic deception and the power of darkness.
Those experiencing condemnation during the day of the Lord will include not only the world of unbelievers, but also those guilty of turning away from the true faith. They chose their pleasures of sin (instead of enjoying God) and are swept along with the tide of the world in the last days.
One of the surest proofs of the depravity of the human heart is the fact that people take pleasure in violence, blood, and death. It was evident in the Roman and Greek arenas, where spectators cheered as people fought and killed each other. It was also apparent when the onlookers watched Jesus die a horrible death. It is also clear in the history of the persecution of believers. Today, in modern society, as well, millions of adults and children find pleasure and entertainment in television and other media that depict human suffering, blood, violence, and death. Jesus died to change this attitude and to bring love and care to all.
