In Isaiah, chapter three, verses two through three, ” The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. The theme under the judgment of the Lord section, as a result of the people’s sins, God’s decision would touch every part of society and all classes of people would suffer. “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” There is a difference between good and bad, the godly and the ungodly, right and wrong with no in between. God is good and evil is of the devil.
There is no coincidence when examining the words. In the word good there is God in it while evil with a letter “d” spells devil. Could this be by chance? The Lord has a requirement for all people especially believers no matter what position we have and the responsibilities that go with it. Revelation twenty-two, verse eleven, declares, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”
Each is named as the representative of a class from the theme verses. In Romans two, verses eleven through thirteen, “For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” God is just and know our hearts.
