Riches honor and life

In Proverbs, chapter twenty-two, verse four, “By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.” Those who remain faithful to God will receive these blessings at their own appointed time. All God’s people will be among those who “inherit the earth,” as in Matthew five, verse five., God’s poor are considered rich in spiritual wealth and honor, as in Revelation two, verse nine.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you,” as in Matthew six, verse thirty-three. For believers, if we seek God in honesty to know Him, not to acquire things, He will provide. God knows the hearts that are doing this: The Lord sees the pretenders from those who surrender to Him. “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near,” as in Isaiah fifty-five, verse six. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded,” as in James four, verse eight.

First Corinthians three verses twenty-one and twenty-three, declares, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours.” “And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.” Like a relationship, many ask what they want, but it will not manifest because of how we treat the other. For believers, how would you like it if someone only came to you when they needed something from you?

The rich or those who become wealthy often do not know if their ideas or inventions will be successful. They eventually find out unawares. Riches sometimes come that way for God’s people because they do not expect them, and that should be the approach for every believer: not looking for them.
