Rebuke a wise man

In Proverbs, chapter nine, verse eight, if we are truly servants of God who want to please Him, we will welcome loving reproof and criticism. “Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich,” as in Proverbs twenty-seven, verse six. The admonition and correction from a friend, family member, or pastor are ways God uses to mold our character according to His holy will, as in John sixteen, verse eight. The Holy Spirit will indeed bless the church that receives with humility and obedience the reproof of a loving pastor.

Believers, who are responsible for themselves, and those whose allegiance belongs to Christ cannot be neutral or silent concerning “works of darkness” and immorality. They, be their light, will expose wickedness in all forms. To cry out sincerely against unrighteousness is to hate sin, stand beside God against evil, and remain faithful to Christ, who also exposed evil deeds. “These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee,” as in Titus two, verse fifteen. The Son of God said in Revelation three, verse nineteen, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

Today, there are many Christians all over the world. Anybody can declare they are a Christian. However, Can anybody declare they are a servant of God? “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might,” as in Deuteronomy six, verse five. As believers, we cannot see how we behave, only God and others, especially when we undergo trials, hardship, and problems we experience. Our behavior will not be unnoticed, particularly if we cannot see it. We should trust God and accept.
