High praises and two edged sword

In Psalms, chapter one hundred and forty-nine, verse six, this verse addresses the activity of the righteous in two areas: worship and spiritual warfare. Our desire to praise God must accompany the desire to aggressively oppose the kingdom of Satan and all of its evil. The fulfillment of God’s kingdom will never be until the hostile forces of darkness come to ruin. Believers must take a stand against the powers of evil by living a righteous life in faith, taking the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and praying in the Spirit.

The theme under The Lord’s Love for Israel section expresses the combination of the believer in praising God and casting out evil through spiritual warfare.

Praise becomes the vital component of the believer’s spiritual armor, reinforcing the believer’s reliance on strength. The power of praise in spiritual warfare is a profound biblical principle that encourages believers to exalt God amidst trials. There is a refrain that begins:

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;

Praise Him, all creatures here below;

Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Amen.

As Christians, we engage in a spiritual conflict with evil, a warfare of faith that continues until we enter the life to come. Satan is a masterful strategist who seeks our downfall by his various schemes. In our warfare of faith, we must endure hardships as good soldiers of Christ. Believers face a spiritual conflict with Satan and a host of evil spirits.

The sword of the Spirit is a believer’s offensive weapon in spiritual warfare. Satan will make every effort to undermine or destroy our confidence in that sword, which is the Word of God. The believer’s warfare against the spiritual forces of Satan calls for an intensity to prayer. Praying “in the Spirit,” praying “always,” “with all prayers and supplications,” praying “for all saints,” with all perseverance.

Prayer is not to be seen as just another weapon but as part of the conflict itself where the victory is won for ourselves and others by working with God Himself. To fail to pray diligently, with all kinds of prayer for all situations, is to surrender to the enemy.

Therefore, the high praises to God during challenging times will sustain the believer’s faith coupled with the warfare prayer will give no room for the devil to disrupt anything if properly maintained.
