Thou hast searched me (Missed)

In Psalms, chapter hundred and thirty-nine, verses one through twenty-four, the psalm describes various aspects of God’s attributes, especially His omnipresence and omniscience, as these characteristics relate to His care for His people. The God of heaven and earth created us and has perfect knowledge of us and His thoughts toward every situation.

God’s nature for us begins in verses two through four, “Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.” Then continues in verse seven, “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?”

In Psalms, verse eight, “If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.” There is no place for God’s creation to hide, either physically or spiritually. Even at night, as in verses eleven through twelve, “If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” God made the earth so how can anyone hide away from Him?

One of the famous passages of scripture is in verses twenty-three to twenty-four of this theme chapter, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. God knows the heart of everyone he created. Whether good or bad, it will be up to the individual if they want to know Him.
