In Psalms, chapter one hundred and thirty-four, verses one through three, the psalm speaks of all-night worship and intercession in God’s house. Shouldn’t God’s people under the new covenant be equally zealous for being involved in all-night services devoted to spiritual worship and earnest intercession for revival in the church and salvation for the lost?
The theme chapter under the Blessing for the Night Watch section depicts those who desire to spend time in the Lord’s sanctuary to see God’s presence come upon them and move them spiritually. “God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth,” as in John four, verse four.
There is a song from this theme being sung in the church today. The title: Come Bless the Lord
Come bless the Lord
All ye servants of the Lord
Who stands by night in the house of the Lord
Lift up your hands in the holy place
And bless the Lord
And bless the Lord
The sanctuary is where people come to praise God and enjoy His presence. The Sabbath day is a day of rest. And set aside for Christians to spend the day with the Lord. However, churchgoers go to church, and then there are believers who attend and serve the Lord.
Believers serve God and desire to spend the day in His house, especially during evening services. These are the believers who serve God from their hearts, and their spirit. Although seen from their physical appearance, the public sees them worshipping God. Yet, they are spiritually connected with God during the service. Sure, anybody can praise God. However, those who serve God are not in a hurry and are not worried.
Those who stand by night in evening services Love the Lord, and God knows their heart.
