In Psalms, chapter one hundred and twenty-six, verses five through six, there are two stages of the believer’s life here: sowing and reaping. If we faithfully sow in tears and in prayer, God’s Word promises that we will reap joy from the fruit of our faithful sowing. Therefore, let us sow in faith and faithfulness, intercession and righteousness, regardless of whatever pain we may be experiencing, knowing that there will be a great harvest of God’s blessings, as in Jeremiah thirty-one, verse nine. “They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.”
The first stage of the theme is, “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” In pain and brokenness, it’s easy for believers to focus on themselves and the other problems surrounding them. However, if we do not frustrate ourselves and give it to the Lord and let Him take care of it and carry us through it, it will be much better to bear it until God delivers us from them.
At the end of Psalms thirty, verse five, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” It is not easy to deal with situations that may occur in life because, at times, no one sees trouble coming. However, God sees them and is ready to help those who call, look, and depend upon Him.
The second stage is from the other part of the theme, “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” Others we know experience trouble we should pray for their deliverance.
