I love the lord

In Psalms, chapter hundred and sixteen, verses one through nineteen, the psalm expresses thanksgiving to the Lord for deliverance from death. The chapter declares His praise of all afflicted believers rescued by the Lord and spared death or great calamity.

The theme chapter is under the Deliverance from Death section, beginning with “I love the Lord.” Believers who love God will have their hearts the scripture of First John four, verse nineteen, “We love him because he first loved us.” Those who love the Lord will obey His Word. Those believers will also be obedient to the first part of Hebrews one, verse nine, “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity.” It is easy for anyone to say they love someone, but doing something for someone we love is the difference between the sayers and the doers.

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another,” as in First John four, verse eleven. “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins,” as in First John four, verse ten. However, those who say they love the Lord but do not live according to the Word of God but live contrary to the scriptures will show how much time they spend praying, reading, and praising God. “Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,” as in Second Thessalonians two, verse sixteen.

Believers saved from disaster or rescued from tragedy will know how much the Lord loves them through their experience. On the other hand, they will realize how much they love the Lord when they reflect on their near-to-death incident by His might power.
