I am poor and needy

In Psalms, chapter eighty-six, verse one, prayer that arises out of humility, affliction, and great need is a prayer that God will hear and answer. He has special care for His people broken and needy, as in Psalms thirty-five, verse ten, Psalms seventy-four, verse twenty-one, and Matthew six, verses twenty-five through thirty-four, accordingly.
Believers should learn to pray for life’s necessary provisions, as in Matthew six, verse eleven, based upon four principles: We must pray such petitions according to God’s will and His glory, as in Matthew six, verses ten and thirty-three, First Corinthians ten, verse thirty-one, and First John five, verses fourteen to fifteen, respectively.
Secondly, we want God to demonstrate His fatherly love for us in Matthew six, verse nine, and verses twenty-five through thirty-four. The provisions we pray for must supply our basic needs and allow us to perform Christian service, as in Second Corinthians nine, verse eight, First Timothy six, verse eight, and Hebrews thirteen, verse five. We may ask for things only after faithfully giving to God and others, as in Second Corinthians nine, verse six.
Paul in the New Testament reveals some key principles and promises of Christian giving. We belong to God, and we have trust in our Lord. We must decide to serve God, not money, as in Second Corinthians eight, verses five and twenty-four. Saints should try to give to help those in need, as in Second Corinthians eight, verse fourteen, and Second Corinthians nine, verse twelve. Proverbs nineteen, verse seventeen, and Galatians two, verse ten, to advance God’s kingdom, as in First Corinthians nine, verse fourteen, and Philippians four, verses fifteen through eighteen. To store up treasure in heaven, as in Matthew six, verse twenty, and Luke six, verses thirty-two through thirty-five, and to learn the fear of the Lord, as in Deuteronomy fourteen, verses twenty-two to twenty-three.
