From Him cometh my salvation

In Psalms, chapter sixty-two, verse one, the psalm expresses the fundamental truth by which every believer should live. In times of trouble, affliction, or opposition from enemies, we should turn to God as our ultimate refuge and deliverer. Every believer who trusts in God should be able to say: “I will allow no trouble, crisis, or suffering to shake my confidence in God,” as in verses two and six of this theme chapter. Not only does my salvation come from Him, as in verse one, but He is my rock, my salvation, and my refuge, as in verses six through seven.
“In times of anxiety or threat, I will commit myself to Him in earnest prayer and tell Him all that is in my heart,” as in Philippians four, verse six. The one essential cure for worry is our prayer for the following reasons: Through prayer, we renew our trust in the Lord’s faithfulness by casting out all our anxieties and problems on Him who cares for us, as in Matthew six, verses twenty-five through thirty-four, and First Peter five, verse seven. The peace of God comes to guard our hearts and minds as a result of our communion with Christ Jesus, as in Philippians four, verses six through seven, Isaiah twenty-six, verse three, and Colossians three, verse fifteen, respectively. God strengthens us to do everything He desires from us, as in Philippians three, verse twenty, and Philippians four, verse thirteen. We receive mercy, grace, and help in times of need, as in Hebrews four, verse sixteen. We have the assurance that God works for our good in all things.
“I will wait upon the Lord to act on my behalf, knowing He sees my plight and will respond with mercy and compassionate love,” as in verses eleven through twelve.
