Thou hast destroyed the wicked

In Psalms, chapter nine, verse five, David speaks as if the events recorded here have already happened: a stylistic feature of prophecy in the Psalms. He is sure that the events will occur and speaks of them as if they already are fulfilled, as in verses fifteen through sixteen.

The theme verse in the Praise to God for Deliverance for this chapter is an attitude of faith showing trust in God that He will work in his favor as though it is complete. If we picture it and pray for it, God will materialize it: This is the act of faith in action.

There is no room for doubt. The enemy cannot stop us but comes against our minds to intimidate the people of God as though he can stop us. The devil is an illusionist and a strategist, but with the help of God and using the Word of God against the enemy, we will be able to overcome. We must believe that God will do what His Word declares as we say this and not whisper so the enemy, so those unclean spirits, can hear it.
