In Psalms, chapter one, verses four through six, describes the unrepentant sinners with three awful pictures. They are like chaff blown away by the forces they cannot see, as in Ephesians two, verse two, who are the children of disobedience living in transgression and sins. All who are without Christ are under the influence of “the prince and the power of the air,” which is Satan. Satan blinds their minds to the truth of God, as in the Second Corinthians four, verses three through four. The ungodly enslavement to sin and the cravings of the sinful nature, as in Luke four, verse eighteen, due to the spiritual condition of unregenerate people, they cannot stand or accept the truth apart from the grace of God, as in Firat Corinthians one, verse eighteen, and Titus two, verses eleven through fourteen.
The ungodly who are without Christ are still responsible for their sins. They will be condemned before the judgment of God on the judgment day, as in Psalms seventy-six, verse seven, Malachi three, verse two, Matthew twenty-five, verses thirty-one through forty-six, and Revelation six, verse seventeen, respectively. The ungodly will perish for eternity. The ungodly will be in a place of eternal torment reserved for those who do not turn from their sins and accept salvation. The Bible teaches that one’s existence does not end at death but continues forever, either in the presence of God or in a place of punishment.
The ungodly are forces used by the powers of darkness to attempt to disrupt the relationship between God and the godly. Remember, there are two kinds of people on the earth: the godly and ungodly. Although for the followers of God, the ungodly appear to us as flesh and blood, Satan will use them to physically torment the godly because they are under the influence of “the prince and the power of the air,” which is the evil one. Satan blinds their minds to use them strategically against the godly to attempt to pull them down and away from God. If the ungodly do not turn and accept salvation, they will be with Satan and his angels in everlasting torment on judgment day.
