In Esther, chapter eight, verse three, although Haman received a hanging for God’s just intervention in chapter seven, verse ten, Esther courageously attempts to address the king with tears in light of saving her people. She fell at the feet of the king for the deliverance of the people of God to reverse the decree of destroying the chosen people and to put away the mischief from the deceased Haman the Agagite, who orchestrated the plan at the beginning. Still, the efforts of Esther generated a second decree that gave the people of God the right to defend themselves against the initial first decree on the day formerly was for their destruction in verses nine through seventeen of this chapter.
In society, believers must be earnest when the church of God is at stake. When something is going on in a place of worship that is supposed to represent God, which is not righteous, the believers of Christ who love God and abide by His Word must rise against it. For a believer to ignore and allow ungodly activity to continue, we either leave the congregation if they will not follow the Word of God or do something to correct it.
Today, believers in Jesus Christ have to fight back spiritually using the Word of God to overcome the spiritual mischief that evolves in our environment. Everybody serves something, whether it be godly or ungodly. However, whatever side a person is on spiritually, the right or the wrong side, the opposition is bound to be there at some point. People have to remember light and darkness do not mix. Similar to daytime and night, they do not stay together. One has to leave while the other sets in. However, there is a beginning and a ending whether we choose to serve God or something else.
